Hi, regarding tresty and dutapro – Other then the fact that the guy takes your money and never sends the product – Is there any (I know this sounds dumb) evidence to say that he is definatly with out a doubt a scammer?

I have been in contact with him (admittedly not via the phone) by email, and so far he seems ok. I know that kinda makes me look like the idiot.

Had I not seen this forum, I probally would have gone ahead with the deal. Now I am slightly more weary.

All I have seen in this thread thus far, are people complaining about frauds, is there anyone here that can point myself and others in the right direction towards trusted international sellers/ whole sellers of elctronic products (especially cameras) Like the person above me. Who has cleary stated that he no longer can be bothered to search for legitiment companies, I to am starting to turn in that direction. This is not a good thing for the small 5% or so of people that offer a legitmit business.

So any help on the matter would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Please people here are not going to check up on 10 companies for you. Just read the forums here and learn how to at least do some research on your own. I also gave you some tips over TradeManager, you are not going to find brand name electronics at the prices you are looking for, certainly not in Indonesia.

Let you be advised :
1. No Indonesian company got Ltd, Inc or a kind such like that just to show it is a big company.
only 4 categories : PT ( ltd coy), CV (private venture) and UD is private/personal trading and the last is Koperasi (foundation).
2. All the data provided are incorrect, the area code (ZIP) the adress, the wierd name which is almost in the zone of 3 cities:
Medan (North Sumatra Island), Bandung (West Java ild.) Jogya (central java isld.) The names put in are just crossing puzzle of 3
region. These are from same syndicate that already been hunted
by screet agent of special anti cybernet crimes (CC Intel) of Indonesian Police HQ + FBI + Interpol.
Behind them are the Terrorist and Drop Outs students of IT or
computer college/acaedemy.
3. Among them , only Angel coy in Batam (free trade zone area)
seems rigth, but it is PMA ( foreign investment) and the
suspicious things are : the coy is CV ? no way for PMA , it is
false data !! and moreover they are not in permanent status,
can be rent a place only ( if so ??).
You are highly recommended, not to deal with them. !!
Only : 1. Use no payment unless L/C.
2. Use surveyor (sgs/sucofindo, and others ) for inspect!

Luckily I didn’t order more than that! Please be careful with Asian countries as it would be very hard to tell which are legitimate and which aren’t. Sometimes it isn’t worth the risk.

1. don’t ever trust somebody in my country that selling electronics, because of lot of cheap electronics in indonesia was imported from china.
2. most the contact person and information of 10 companies that you wrote are fake. this is city code in indonesia :

many companies in your list give sellular number, it’s very suspicious. and one company wrote 022 for jakarta.
3. use L/C!!! and spend a little money to visit your supplier, it’s worthed than you lost some money cheated by scammers!

We know that no Indonesia companies or any other companies has the rights to sell it to any other countries. So I need to know what is Alibaba’s actions.
I’ve posted the issue on MNC issue for early this month but none of those companies which offered MNC products is being pulled out of the site. I even had to report to Alibaba about certain fake companies to Alibaba management.
As mentioned by ryunan, the telephone code can be one of the based to certified that these companies do come from the said country/area and Alibaba management should, if it wished to clean its image makes an effort to clean up those companies which didnt gives a proper communication numbers.

Please understand that I am only the moderator on this forum, I do not work for Alibaba and can not say what their intentions are. There are people who sell “MNC products” legitimately on this site (though they are a minority), so simply banning them all is not reasonable. I can only hope they will implement some realistic ways of keeping the typical scams away, but I can’t do anything but refer you to Alibaba for answers:

I feel, it should be a two way communication. Maybe Alibaba can inform in web that any companies who wish to indulge in this business (MNC products) should produce a certificate from the proper authorities, even if they are free members. Without this they will not be allowed to sell these things or even register their company.
I feel if action is not taken immediately, alibaba status as the best B2B site in the world might be jeorpardised in the future. My view is to in the best interest of Alibaba, not otherwise.

I am now also look for Plasma TV sets to sell. I try to serach from singapore wholeseller, but end up they are all company from indonesia.This is not match with the information they put in Alibaba.

Those Plasma TV for 40″ ,50″ and 60″(Samsing,Panasonic,SOny…etc) is around USD400 to USD700. Which is very cheap to me.

The bastard is even using the real guy’s name : Mr Ebenhyser Pololessy listed on the legit website, but of couse gives me some b.s. yahoo e-mail for contact and wants money right away.
I seriously doubt that any of the so called Suppliers on this site are legit.

Try a small trick. Tell them you have send the wire transfer, then he will ask for the bank transfer receipt. Then, easy go to your bank get a wire transfer form at customer service. Fill it like you really did it but don’t handle it to the teller. Take it home and then scan, and send it to him. In the next 3 days he will keep asking for the payment that never sent. If it is a personal account name it is 99.9% FRAUD

Brother, i have been scammed by 2 indonesian companies. After i made a t/t transfer to their specified bank accounts, i was unable to communicate with them after this period, they stopped responding to my emails, their telephone numbers seem fake or not answering. I am a young brother from Australia, who has worked hard for his money trying to start a small business gradually, and now i have lost 2000$ to these fraud people (May Allah give them what they deserve). I first had contact with Microshop99 about three weeks ago..
I got some quotes off them which were very good..
I replied back to them stating I wanted full disclosure details from them, ie, company registration details, business number, phone numbers and people contact details within the company, and I’m still waiting for them to get back to me

They state that they are a registered company in Indonesia and that may well be the case ( I havent checked) but they had their chance to send me what I wanted from them and they’ve chosen not to do so, therefore they are off my list

after send payment not with Western Union, but with a wire transfer, they tell me now to send more money because the rules company of order 5 units have changed, i have now to order 15 units!!

After reading all the posts here I got nerveous about trading with Indonesian companies. For the moment everything with this company seems legitimate, they accept T/T,M/T,D/P,Cash and Wire Transfer, and the D/P seems like a good option for starting the cooperation.Shipping will be done by DHL Express of Fedex.

I would like to ask for some assistance in order to verify the company.

1. No Indonesian company got Ltd, Inc or a kind such like that just to show it is a big company.

only 4 categories : PT ( ltd coy), CV (private venture) and UD is private/personal trading and the last is Koperasi (foundation).

2. All the data provided are incorrect, the area code (ZIP) the adress, the wierd name which is almost in the zone of 3 cities:

Medan (North Sumatra Island), Bandung (West Java ild.) Jogya (central java isld.) The names put in are just crossing puzzle of 3

region. These are from same syndicate that already been hunted

by screet agent of special anti cybernet crimes (CC Intel) of Indonesian Police HQ + FBI + Interpol.

Behind them are the Terrorist and Drop Outs students of IT or

computer college/acaedemy.

3. Among them , only Angel coy in Batam (free trade zone area)

seems rigth, but it is PMA ( foreign investment) and the

suspicious things are : the coy is CV ? no way for PMA , it is

false data !! and moreover they are not in permanent status,

can be rent a place only ( if so ??).

You are highly recommended, not to deal with them. !!

Only : 1. Use no payment unless L/C.

2. Use surveyor (sgs/sucofindo, and others ) for inspect!

3. Use an forwarder agent service on behalf you which got

a branch office in that city that can be your spy to check

the company by telling them that You may have a

prospect cargo/shipment that may be nominaated to them.
